Kabbie and I started out last year, with just the urge to try something different. We had some money to spend, some time to spare, a lot of passion to spur. We had a dream… and we knew we could make it happen.

Now, a little short of a year (we officially began on October 28, 2006), we are Karen and Karen Enterprises. In Kabbie's terms (and I quote from her blog), "having that DTI Registration certificate gave me a sudden chill.. Yung tipong OMG-we've-come-a-long-way-na-kalaro-and-this-is-it-na-talaga kind of feeling.  Karen and Karen Enterprises is now official. Imagine, we just started last year and a lot of great things happened already.  This venture is definitely fulfilling, in more ways than one."

Personally, I still find myself at awe with everything that has been happening over the past year. It's been a real whirlwind! We've had our share of the "overflowing pockets" episodes as well as the "where did all the money go" moments. Most of the time, I just choose to become a voyeur watching everything as it transpires from a bird's eye view.

We've been to nth bazaars, literally through rain or shine, started in the wee hours of the morning and stayed very tired but still much alive at midnight.

It is hard work, yes indeed. But it is also sheer pleasure. We were able to do what we wanted to do – celebrating life with as many bag lover friends as we can!

Thank you to our friends, barkada mates, number one buyers and brand loyalists who never left our sides. Who bought bags from us, no matter how difficult it was for them.
